Delara Creative Studio is a done-for-you social media studio. The person responsible for your information — the data controller, in legal terms — is Delara Kiani, trading as Delara Creative Studio.

What we collect

When you fill in the enquiry form

You choose what to tell us. The form asks for:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your Instagram handle, if you have one — this field is optional
• Your approximate yearly revenue, as a range rather than a figure
• Anything else you'd like us to know — also optional

We ask about revenue for one reason: it tells us quickly whether we're a sensible fit for each other, so we can give you a straight answer instead of a discovery call that goes nowhere. It isn't shared, sold, or used for anything else.

When you simply visit

If you've agreed to analytics or advertising cookies, we and the services we use collect the ordinary things: which pages you looked at, roughly where in the world you are, what device and browser you're on, and whether you arrived from an ad. If you haven't agreed, that collection doesn't happen — see our cookie policy for the detail.

Why we're allowed to use it

Under UK and EU data protection law we have to name a lawful basis for each use. Ours are:

• Replying to your enquiry — our legitimate interest in running the studio and answering people who contact us, and where a working relationship follows, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• Analytics and advertising cookies — your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.
• Keeping records we're legally required to keep — compliance with our legal obligations.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for 24 months from the last time we were in touch, and then deleted. If we start working together, we keep what we need for the length of that work and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will.

Who else sees it

We don't sell your information and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. A small number of service providers process it on our behalf:

• Netlify — hosts this website and stores enquiry form submissions.
• Google — Google Analytics tells us how the site is doing; Google Ads runs our advertising and measures whether it worked.
• Meta — the Meta Pixel measures our advertising on Instagram and Facebook.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Where your information goes

We're based in the United States, and so are all of the providers above. If you're in the United Kingdom, that means your information is transferred outside the UK. Where our providers act on our behalf, those transfers are covered by the standard contractual clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or by the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, depending on the provider.

Advertising and remarketing

We advertise online, and part of that is showing our work again to people who have already visited this site. Because that has a real effect on what you see elsewhere on the internet, here it is spelled out:

• We use information about your visit to this site to advertise our services to you online.
• Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on sites across the internet.
• We and those vendors use first-party cookies (such as Google Analytics cookies), third-party cookies (such as Google's advertising cookies), and similar device identifiers together, to decide which ads to show you based on your past visits to this site.
• You can stop this. Turn off advertising in your cookie preferences, adjust what Google shows you at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of interest-based advertising across many companies at once at optout.aboutads.info. Google also explains how it handles this data in its business data responsibility notice.

Your rights

If you're in the United Kingdom, UK GDPR gives you the right to ask us to:

• Access the information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
• Erase it
• Restrict how we use it while a question about it is resolved
• Object to us using it, including for direct marketing
• Move it — receive it in a portable format, or have us send it to someone else
• Withdraw your consent to analytics and advertising cookies, at any time, without giving a reason

If you think we've handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at any time.

Changing your cookie choices

Whatever you chose when you arrived, you can change it whenever you like. Open your cookie preferences — the same control sits in the footer of every page on this site. Turning a category off stops any further collection and clears the cookies that were set under it.

Children

This site and our services are meant for people running businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects choices you've already made, we'll ask you again.
